The first ads for Aviat by Hart-Boillot are designed to appeal to the sense of adventure and love of flight shared by pilots.

Some elements of the gung- ho mes sage, though, may be reworked in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., and amid continued concern that small aircraft may be used in the future by terrorists.

“There are going to be some issues at some point—the fact that [the Husky] can land anywhere is not necessarily the best message anymore,” said Kevin Hart, vice president/creative director at the Waltham, Mass.,
