Harris Drury Signs Powers to Manage Celebrity Cruises

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Jack Powers, formerly of Lowe & Partners/SMS in New York, has been hired as vice president and account leader at Harris Drury Cohen on the $15 million Celebrity Cruises business.
Powers joins James Wexler and Mel Roth, who were recruited prior to the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based HDC winning the account this spring. Wexler and Roth were principals of Wexler, McCarron & Roth Advertising, also in Fort Lauderdale, where they originated the “Cruising Italian Style” concept for Costa Cruises.
Powers spent three years as a senior vice president and management supervisor at Lowe & Partners/SMS.
