Infomercials, the old-school workhorse of the ad world, have come a long way from Ron Popeil’s classic—and much parodied—formula that usually included the enthusiastic catch phrase, “But wait, there’s more!”

Case in point is a campaign for Kizik, an ecommerce shoe brand that’s launching its most significant marketing push to date. As part of the digital effort, the brand is dropping a long-form ad that’s packed with sight gags and framed as a whodunnit police investigation.
