The parent company of Halcyon Associates here has reorganized the top management ranks at the 10-year-old public relations agency.
Halcyon president and chief executive officer Dwight Smith is moving up to become managing director of communications at parent company Richmont in order to play a larger role in the agency’s strategic development.
Replacing Smith will be Russell Mack, most recently vice president of communications at Lyrick Studios in Richardson, Texas, and a former executive in the public relations division of Irving, Texas, agency Temerlin McClain.
“We are taking these steps to permit greater emphasis on preparing for the long-term strategic development of our business, while at the same time ensuring the continued growth and success of Halcyon,” said Richmont chairman John Rochon in a statement.
Smith is one of the co-founders of Halcyon, which specializes in business-to-business media relations, crisis communications and public affairs work.
