T-Mobile enlisted Gwen Stefani and fiancé Blake Shelton to send up the hazards of video call miscommunications—and their own relationship—in a minute-long spot that ran in the second quarter of Sunday’s game.

The Panay Films-produced ad was originally meant to air alongside another 60-second spot with a similar premise, starring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. But the carrier claims that the ad was rejected at the last minute over an advertising rights deal between the NFL and Verizon.
