LOS ANGELES Ground Zero has won creative and media duties for Oberto Sausage Co., according to sources.

The finals came down to the Marina del Rey, Calif., independent and WPP Group’s Cole & Weber United, Seattle, per sources. Neither the client nor the agency would comment.

The unusually lengthy review, conducted by Alan Krinsky Associates, New York, began in January, with presentations in June. The process was delayed by the September installation of Tom Ennis as the company’s marketing chief.
