Groome’s Goal: Grow KB&P West

Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners West has tapped Harry Groome, co-founder of Odiorne Wilde Narraway Groome (now Odiorne Wilde Narraway & Partners), as account director.
“We love Harry’s integrity and passion for great advertising,” said Nigel Carr, managing partner and general manager of KB&P West. “Our goal is to grow the agency by finding more ‘passion brands’ that have heart and soul . . . Harry is a find and we’re lucky to have him help us.”
“I came to work for KB&P West because of the smart and mature group of people that have been drawn here,” said Groome.
Groome will be involved with new business development and his initial responsibilities will include managing KB&P West’s estimated $1.5 million account of Andre-Boudin Bakeries in San Francisco.
The agency was hired earlier this month by the Specialty Foods Corp. subsidiary to develop an “integrated marketing campaign” to promote Boudin’s 40 bakery cafes in Chicago, Dallas and California, Carr said.
While at Odiorne, Groome worked on accounts for clients such as Electronic Arts and Beaulieu Vineyard.
KB&P West was founded last August to service Mother’s Cookies. Its other clients include Score Learning Centers and Internet firm Real Name. The agency has 14 staffers.
