Greenough Makes Senior Addition

BOSTON Independent public relations agency Greenough Communications said it has hired Tammy Gilson-Hodge from International Data Corp.

As a manager at Greenough here (a new position at the 22-person agency), Gilson-Hodge will lead client relationships, supervise staff and help with new business development.

“Tammy’s strong communications skills, marketing expertise and in-depth background in information technology and life sciences make her a tremendous asset to our team,” said Stephanie Casey, executive vice president of Greenough, in a statement.

She will head up accounts including Intuit/Information Technology Systems, DatStat and

Gilson-Hodge, 30, brings with her seven years of experience in public relations and marketing, as well as expertise in key markets such as information technology and life sciences.

Mostly recently, she led PR and marketing programs for research company IDC in Framingham, Mass., contributing to major communications initiatives, including developing and implementing corporate branding strategies and overseeing media activities. Gilson-Hodge also led the execution of the firm’s worldwide corporate telebriefing program. She had previously worked as a writer at Empire State Report, a public policy magazine, and as a writer and editor at Newkirk Products.
