NEW YORK Google said it has introduced Google Mini, an enterprise search appliance designed to help small and midsize businesses access and manage their online data using Google’s search facilities.

The product, which consists of both hardware and software, will cost about $5,000 and can search more than 220 file types and up to 50,000 documents, according to the company in Mountain View, Calif.

Mini indexes Web site content and allows users to undertake searches in the same ways they search at Google.
