SAN FRANCISCO–Citing the continued economic downturn and the loss of $100 million client Sirius Satellite Radio, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners here has decided to lay off roughly two dozen staffers, sources said.

According to sources, the layoffs were announced late last week. It could not be immediately learned what departments will be affected and if any other layoffs are expected. Sources said the agency is also considering pay cuts.

The layoffs come shortly after Goodby lost Sirius to McCann Erickson in New York.
