SAN FRANCISCO — Goodby, Silverstein & Partners here is considering opening a Detroit office to help service the $300 million Saturn account, sources said Thursday.

The bulk of the creative and planning work will still be handled out of the San Francisco.

The satellite office would be the first for Goodby outside its San Francisco headquarters. The agency considered opening a New York office during the economic boom but those plans were sidelined when the economy soured.
