BOSTON State Farm Insurance has tapped Interpublic Group’s Golin/Harris International to handle public relations chores for its life insurance products.

“It’s a significant win for the agency—we’ll count it among the best in the history of [Golin/Harris],” said Keith Burton, executive vice president and managing director of Golin/Harris’ Chicago office, which is leading the account.

The assignment marks the first time State Farm will promote its life insurance line of products, said Rock Jenkins, assistant vice president, public affairs at State Farm.
