Just days before Thanksgiving, the 52-year-old Floridian made $28,000 on eBay from the sale of a 10-year-old, partially eaten grilled-cheese sandwich said to feature the face of the Virgin Mary seared into its surface. In response, others began hawking sandwiches supposedly bearing the images of everything from the Virgin Mary’s used chewing gum to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
