Glenn Eccleston, new head of General Motors online media buying division Cyberworks, said he won’t have any trouble finding Internet options for the automaker.
“I’ve already been getting 10-50 calls per day from people and organizations who want to partner with GM (on the Internet),” he said. “There are a lot of opportunities.”
Eccleston, named senior vice president and director of Cyberworks, replaces Karl Gamester, who left the company. He reports to Linda Thomas Brooks, executive vice president and managing director of both Cyberworks and GM Mediaworks, both units of the Interpublic Group of Companies.
Another area the unit has investigated is how the automaker can use personal video recorders (PVRs) to get its marketing message to consumers.
