NEW YORK – General Motors is expected to hear pitches this month from Leo Burnett, Interpublic agencies McCann-Erickson and Lintas, and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles/N.Y. for the carmaker’s $500-$600 million national TV buying assignment, which includes network, cable and syndication (ADWEEK Aug. 30). GM is in the process of consolidating media assignments. When the TV assignment is awarded, said sources, GM is expected to have a print shoot-out between the remaining agencies.
