General Motors is expected to hear pitches this month from Leo Burnett, Interpublic agencies McCann-Erickson and Lintas, and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowies for the automobile maker’s $500-SGOOmillion national television buying assignment, which includes network, cable and syndication (ADWEEK Aug. 30). General Motors is in the process of consolidating media assignments. When the TV assignment is awarded, said sources, GM is expected to have a shootout for print buying between the two remaining agencies.
