General Motors’ creative plans are taking shape for this summer’s Olympics in Sydney, Australia, the start of a $1 billion ad commitment the automaker has made to the games through 2008.
In addition to the $500 million deal that GM signed with NBC to secure rights as exclusive domestic auto advertiser for the Olympics through 2008, the automaker has also inked agreements with affiliate stations in 13 major markets. GM also said it has signed deals with
37 national sports governing bodies in the U.S.
