While not quite as emphatic as its counterparts in the sports world, the travel industry has coordinated its own response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In a growing number of countries, the travel sector was given little choice in the matter.

The U.S. State Department issued a Do Not Travel advisory to Russia, citing “the unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces in Ukraine, the potential for harassment against U.S. citizens by Russian government security officials, the embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S.
