It’s one thing to think globalization is good; it’s another to feel its benefits are equitably distributed. A BBC World Service Poll asked people in 34 countries if the “benefits and burdens” of recent economic developments have been shared fairly. Fewer than one-third said they’ve been shared “very fairly” (5 percent) or “somewhat” so (24 percent); 36 percent said they’ve been shared “not very fairly” and 28 percent “not at all fairly.”
