Hunter Fan Co. has named Gish, Sherwood & Friends agency of record.
The Nashville, Tenn., shop topped incumbent McKinney & Silver of Raleigh, N.C., and two other Tennessee contenders, The Buntin Group in Nashville and Thompson & Co. of Memphis.
Billings were undisclosed. Competitive Media Reporting cites 1999 spending through November at $743,000; $780,000 for all of 1998. One source familiar with the account said 2000 was also budgeted at less than $1 million.
The Memphis-based manufacturer of ceiling fans also makes air purifiers, humidifiers and thermostats sold by retailers nationwide.
