Geomentum Names President

Geomentum, the Interpublic Group “hyper-local” marketing specialty firm, has appointed Lisa Bradner president, a new position.

Bradner will report to Geomentum CEO Dave Walker.

In her new role, Bradner will lead strategic development and client
management across the account portfolio of the agency, a unit within IPG’s Mediabrands division. The job also entails helping clients leverage and integrate store data with the latest location-based technology applications to connect marketers to the customers in their neighborhoods.

Bradner brings more than 20 years of consumer marketing, new product and business development experience to her new role. She joins Geomentum from Forrester Research, where she worked with clients on digital integration, media mix and brand metrics. Her research at Forrester centered on brand strategy, loyalty marketing, cohort Web sites, in-store media and marketing asset management.

Commenting on the hire, Walker said in a statement, “Hyper-local has reached the tipping point for consumers, and applying it to marketing is something we are pioneering at Geomentum. Lisa has the entrepreneurial spirit necessary to lead this industry change, as emerging hyper-local media opportunities present a true paradigm shift for advertisers.”

Bradner said, “We’re shifting the way we think about media. Starting with the neighborhood is a powerful way to engage people and understand what’s relevant in day-to-day life. For me, Geomentum represents an opportunity to reinvent an industry, not just incrementally build a business.”

Prior to joining Forrester, Bradner spent more than 15 years in consumer marketing focused on brand and direct marketing. She has worked for Fortune 500 manufacturers, retailers and marketers including American Express, Fortune Brands, Sears and Time Inc. She is currently a member of Procter & Gamble’s Digital Advisory Board.
