Doug Martin has long outlived the average “CMO tenure” now as chief brand and disruptive growth officer at General Mills. After starting as an intern in 2005, Martin has managed to gain immense credibility at the iconic CPG company by keeping the consumer value at the core of everything they do. “What I love about being in food is that it is quite literally central to everything that we do,” said Martin.

Today, the brand is innovating how consumers are finding new ways to eat some of their favorite foods across 26 categories. “People really want those comforting intersections, but they want to do it in a way that fits within their lifestyle,” Martin stated.
