G2 Names Press President

NEW YORK G2, a division of WPP’s Grey Global Group, has promoted Jason Press to president of the agency’s office here, effective immediately, said Joe Celia, chairman, CEO of G2 worldwide and president of Grey Synchronized Partners.

Press, 42, who was director of client services at G2 New York, replaces Steven Gilliatt, who has left the company. Press reports to Celia.

“Jason has been with the Grey organization for 16 years and has been with G2 since it was formed in January 2000,” Celia said. “His experience and expertise in bringing brand values to consumers across multiple points of contact are directly in line with where G2’s business and the industry are going. They’re growing at the point-of-sale, which is where consumers come in contact with brands.”

Gilliatt had been at G2 for three years. He had run his own design firm before joining G2 and spent much of his career with Lippincott Margulies. He was unavailable for comment.

Absolut Spirits Co. (including Danska and Level), BAT, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, GlaxoSmithKline, Kmart, Coca-Cola and BellSouth are among G2’s clients in New York.
