CHICAGOPrivate equity firm Frontenac Co. here has purchased marketing services company National System Inc., according to the two parties. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mark Mantovani, who has been chief executive officer of the St. Louis-based NSI for the past five years, will continue in that role, while former Wunderman chairman and CEO Jay Dingle will serve as chairman.

“Mark Mantovani has presided over five years of steady growth in revenues and profitability at NSI,” said Troy Noard, a managing partner at Frontenac, in a statement.
