French Wine Region Picks Graham Interactive

DALLAS Graham Group Interactive has landed online marketing duties for the regional tourism office of France’s Alsace, Burgundy and Champagne-Ardenne (ABC) provinces, the shop said.

The Metairie, La., unit of the Lafayette, La.-based Graham Group won the three-year contract for the business in a review with undisclosed contenders. Annual billings are less than $1 million, according to shop account supervisor and site coordinator Daniel Bourgeois.

Graham is charged with making the three provinces, which are located in France’s Northeast region, attractive to American tourists as destinations, not just places to pass through while exploring the country. “Our main task is to create an American version of the ABC of France Web site that represents these regions and promotes activities,” said Bourgeois. “This plan of ours is to encourage Americans 35-plus who have already traveled to Europe to plan a trip to ABC.”

The shop will initially redesign the ABC Web site and will subsequently create online campaigns to drive traffic to the site, like e-mail and banner campaigns.

Agency vice president Scott McNulty said the client initially approached the shop because it was impressed by Graham’s interactive work for Louisiana’s Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism on After returning the requests for proposals that were issued in August, the participating shops performed some spec work and conducted phone presentations with various departments of the client.
