French Beauty Brand Sephora Tests AI Product Placement Tech

French global beauty brand Sephora teamed with Warner Music Middle East to use AI-powered tech to position its products within a music video that has been viewed over 2.8 million times since release.

The video, for the track “Ana Majnouna” by Bahrain artist Hala Al Turk was released by Platinum Records in January, and Sephora’s products were inserted in it using in-content advertising company Mirriad’s technology.

Directed by Nicolas Tabbal, the video sees Hala perform in a luxurious Middle Eastern apartment, surrounded by video games and luxury goods, with some Sephora branded items having been added in post-production.
