Frank Lowe, chairman of Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide, has been awarded a knighthood.

The news was announced Saturday in London and Lowe’s successor at the agency he founded, Jerry Judge, announced the honor in an internal memo on Monday.

Lowe received the knighthood for his contributions to advertising and his charitable endeavors, including the annual tennis tournament, Stella Artois in London, that raises money for charity.

Lowe joins WPP’s Sir Martin Sorrell in knighthood.
