Former Saatchi Exec Joins Dailey as CCO

LOS ANGELES Dailey & Associates has hired Steve Rabosky as president and chief creative officer, the agency said today.

Rabosky, formerly CCO at Saatchi & Saatchi in Torrance, Calif., and led creative on Toyota, starts April 3.

“I said from the beginning that we were looking for the complete package, and that I need a partner here with me when [chairman] Cliff [Einstein] eventually retires,” said CEO Brian Morris at the West Hollywood, Calif., agency. “But that’s long term. Right now, Steve provides immediate creative leadership and a new level of credibility. It signals that we’re serious about our next chapter.”

Rabosky was not immediately available for comment.

Interpublic Group’s Dailey has been absent a chief creative since the departure of Mike Folino last summer for DDB in Chicago [Adweek Online, June 13].

Rabosky departed Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi last fall. His CCO title was effectively replaced by the elevation of Harvey Marco to the role.

Safeway, Southern California Ford, Honda Motorcycles, Dole, ConocoPhillips and Nestle candy bars are among the major accounts at Dailey.

Rabosky, who had been at Saatchi since 2000, won a 2004 gold Lion at Cannes for the Toyota Tacoma “Girlfriend” spot. Prior to Saatchi, he was at Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey, Calif., where he worked on the Energizer and Apple accounts.
