Luxe Hotelier Awards Five-Star Image Work
DALLAS–Coffee/Black Advertising has been chosen to craft an image for a new luxury hotel management company here in a $1 million inaugural assignment.
While the $8 million Dallas boutique will be responsible only for high-end collateral work, it will later handle additional print and radio advertising for individual properties that contract with Foresthills Hotels and Resorts.
The agency’s “unique style and fresh approach to advertising is exactly what we are looking for,” said Michael Matthews, Foresthills’ vice president of marketing and sales, in a statement. Foresthills was established last year by six veterans of Dallas’ Rosewood Properties, which operates five-star facilities here such as the Crescent Court Hotel and The Mansion on Turtle Creek.
To date, Foresthills has inked the Warwick in Philadelphia and is negotiating with at least two to three other properties, according to Coffee/Black principal Jim Sykora.
“They take an approach almost contrary to the trend” with high-scale hotels, said Sykora. “They don’t go out and say the hotel in Philadelphia should be like the hotel we manage in California. They try to build off the mystique and personality of each individual property.”
Coffee/Black first came to Foresthills’ attention when Matthews and other Rosewood officials were interviewing agencies two years ago. Although too small to service Rosewood at that point, the shop has more than quadrupled billings and landed creative duties for national clients such as Uniden America Corp. and Word Publishing. –Glen Fest
