Ford Exec to Steer Cadillac

DETROIT A Ford Motor Co. marketing executive will head the Cadillac account at the new Publicis Groupe unit dedicated to General Motors, sources said.

Michael Wright will be group account director and senior vice president at what is currently known as D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Troy, Mich. The agency, which was linked with Leo Burnett, Chicago, in a reorganization by parent company Publicis, is expected to announce a new name soon.

Wright replaces Joe Garcia, who has been named global director of business development, a new position at the agency. Wright has been at Ford for three years, most recently as multicultural marketing manager. He formerly was at GM in various advertising positions for more than a decade.

Both Wright and Garcia will be based in Troy.
