Fast food chain Carl’s Jr. and Beyond Meat will celebrate Earth Day with a first-of-its-kind pop-up event and menu takeover in Los Angeles, giving away free plant-based burgers at one location and offering its faux meat sandwiches for $5 chain-wide via an email promotion.

Not only will an L.A.-area outlet of Carl’s Jr. be wrapped in Beyond Meat branding on April 22, but its menu will also be completely taken over by free Beyond Meat burgers, providing “an exciting way to drive trial at no risk to the consumer,” said Beyond Meat chief creative officer Beth Moskowitz.

The two brands, collaborating since the debut of the Beyond Famous Star burger in January 2019, want to remind consumers that plant-based burgers are available every day at all Carl’s Jr.
