ATLANTA Two 30-second television spots from creativeondemand launch Volkswagen’s Touareg to the U.S. Hispanic market July 21.

The Coral Gables, Fla., shop’s “Baby Rocker” and “High Rider” will air nationwide on Spanish-language networks Telemundo, Univision and Mun2. Print ads in Maxim, Urban Latino and People Espanol and radio spots also broke this month.

Media spending is undisclosed. VW spent an estimated $3 million in the Latino market in 2002, according to Hispanic Business Magazine.

The humorous commercials tap into the vehicles off-road capabilities with concepts that are the antithesis of typical SUV spots, according to agency creative director and copywriter Daniel Marrero.
