Florida’s Sun Pass Will Be a Toll Order For In-state Winner

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) today is expected to choose one of four in-state shops to introduce its Sun Pass toll-collection system, sources said. The project will bill $2.5 million over three years.

Harwell Advertising & Public Relations, Lakeland; The Zimmerman Agency, Tallahassee; and Miami shops Kelley Swofford Roy and Tinsley Advertising made presentations to FDOT officials in Tallahassee two weeks ago.

FDOT is seeking a shop to not only market Sun Pass throughout the state, but to handle sales and distribution as well.

The automated Sun Pass system will begin operating next March in South Florida, according to sources.
