Firehouse Enlists ECD

BOSTON Independent Firehouse in Dallas has named Tripp Westbrook principal and executive creative director.

He replaces Greg Nations at the 22-person shop. Nations has left the agency.

“Tripp adds a unique dimension to the agency,” said Firehouse president Mark Hall. “He brings a combination of fresh, award-winning creative leadership coupled with strong strategic and new business instincts. That’s a tough combination to find, but we did.”

Westbrook’s resume includes stints at Fallon, The Martin Agency, Hal Riney & Partners and GSD&M. He also spent two years as a partner at No Fences, a consultancy that helps agencies develop new business and brand strategies. During his career, he has worked on brands such as AT&T, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Nikon and Southwest Airlines.

He said Firehouse presents “a great opportunity to change the perception of what the next generation of agencies are capable of,” said Westbrook. “There’s a serious amount of large, even global, brand experience here combined with a scrappy, non-traditional view of the industry.”

Firehouse was formed 10 years ago and has handled online and offline clients including Brinker International, Centex Homes, FedEx-Kinko’s and Sonic Drive-in.
