Federated Department Stores is looking for an advertising agency to handle creative assignments for its Goldsmith’s Rich’s and Lazarus chains.

Invitations were sent to four undisclosed shops in Atlanta last month. Billings are undisclosed.

A briefing will be held May 21 at the retailer’s Atlanta offices. Agencies can expect to hear an overview of the company’s research, brand programs and objectives, according to sources.

Finalists will return to the client in June with proposals for a fall branding campaign.

Representatives of Federated said the review was closed, and declined further comment.

The retail merchant is headquartered in Cincinnati.
