FCB S.F. names new executive creative director

SAN FRANCISCO–FCB Worldwide here today promoted senior vice president and client creative director Tom O’Keefe to executive creative director.

O’Keefe, 38, replaces Rooney Carruthers, who is returning to the UK after 15-months as ecd of FCB San Francisco.

“Tom’s proven leadership skills and creative expertise are a driving force behind the creative work for which this office has always been regarded,” said Geoff Thompson, chairman and CEO of FCB San Francisco, in a statement. “I look forward to seeing the department under Tom’s leadership continue to produce powerful creative solutions for our clients.”

At FCB San Francisco, O’Keefe has worked on accounts such as Amazon.com and Taco Bell.

The move comes at a turbulent time for FCB,which recently lost the $400 million AT&T Wireless account and the $50 million Microsoft Ultimate TV business.
