Fassbender, Cruz, Bardem and a Bad Grandpa Get Mashed [Video]

A mashup of trailers for this weekend's new releases

Ridley Scott says jump, actor says gravity be damned. Gleefully launching through the hoops of Scott's new thriller, The Counselor, is as attractive a group of adult movie stars as draws a paycheck. But Michael Fassbender, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz are simply the top table at a feast that is scripted by Cormac McCarthy and features support from Brad Pitt, Rosie Perez (hurrah!) and even a Breaking Bad alum (Dean Norris). With a trailer that calls to mind the best work of Ridley's brother Tony, what could go wrong?

From the potentially sublime to the ineffably ridiculous, Bad Grandpa is Jackass meets Borat. Johnny Knoxville tours small towns dressed as an old man and pranks the locals accompanied by an 8-year-old posing as his grandson. When the boy enters a genuine beauty contest as a little girl and then pulls stripper moves in front of the Honey Boo Boo mommies and daddies, it's as if Stewie Griffin has come to life.

Elsewhere this week, Le Capital sees Costa-Gavras refusing to give up his edge in a tale of corporate greed and corruption starring Gabriel Byrne. Losers Take All looks like a fantastically accurate recreation of what it was like to be in a bad high school band in your teens, if your were in your teens in the '80s.

And finally, Wilde Salomé seems to have the ever-amazing Al Pacino doing for Oscar Wilde what he did for Shakespeare in Looking for Richard almost two decades ago.
