NEW YORK Women’s clothier Ann Taylor has called off its nascent review for a shop to handle its estimated $5 million advertising account, the client said.

“We’ve always handled everything in-house and we’re very satisfied with what we’ve done and where we’re going,” said a client representative.

Requests for proposals on the account were issued nearly two weeks ago, but potential contenders were never selected, according to the client. Contacted agencies have been notified.

According to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR, Ann Taylor spent $5 million on ads in 2002 and about $5 million in the first 10 months of last year.
