‘The Fader’ Pacts With iTunes

NEW YORK The Fader‘s July/August Summer Music issue will be available for free on iTunes, the company said today.

The issue covering the best in new music this season will be the first magazine available in its entirety at the music store’s “New and Notable section,” and also at media.thefader.com/assets/issue_39/thefader_issue39.pdf

The partnership allows the 80,000-circulation title to expand its reach to millions of music lovers.

“We’re about bringing attention to the emerging artists and musicians that we love, and are always looking for a way to get the word out,” said Andy Cohn, publisher of The Fader. “The print magazine will always be our focus, but this is an incredibly unique opportunity to reach a whole new audience and bring additional attention to the artists that we’re covering.”

Southern Comfort is sponsoring the digital component.

The issue hits newsstands June 20.
