Eyeblaster Taps Halfin to Steer Domestic Sales

NEW YORK Eyeblaster has hired traditional- and interactive-media veteran Bobbie Halfin as vice president of North American sales, the rich media technology company said.

In the newly created post, Halfin, 57, will oversee Eyeblaster’s relationships with existing customers, like Modem Media, Grey and Starcom, and new business. She will report to Gal Trifon, CEO of the New York-based company, which provides online advertisers and publishers with technology to create, deliver and manage ad formats.

Most recently, Halfin served for three years as managing director of sales and marketing for Meredith Interactive in New York, where she developed sponsorship and customer publishing strategies and the in-house sales team for Meredith Corp.’s Internet properties.

She comes to Eyeblaster with 25 years of sales and general management experience at traditional- and interactive-media companies, including CMGI, Parade Publications and Lang Communications.

Halfin made her first foray into online media when she joined Andover, Mass.-based AdSmart Network in early 1997 as vice president of sales. In between AdSmart and Meredith Interactive, Halfin spent two years as president at Winstar Interactive in New York, where she built management, sales and operations teams and landed clients like Bloomberg, the PGA Tour and Seventeen magazine.
