Euro RSCG Merges Magnet and Middleberg

BOSTON Euro RSCG’s Magnet Communications has merged with sister public relations agency Euro RSCG Middleberg, according to parent company Euro RSCG Worldwide.

The new agency will be called Euro RSCG Magnet, and the merger will be effective April 1.

Heading up Euro RSCG Magnet is chief executive officer David Kratz. Aaron Kwittken will serve as co-president and chief operating officer, Paul Jensen is co-president and chief strategy officer, and Patrick Resk is chief financial officer. Don Middleberg is chairman of the company.

“Euro RSCG Worldwide is focusing on its integrated marketing network,” said Kratz. “As such, it makes sense to have a strong PR platform.”

Nationwide the agency has 150 staffers, with the merger doubling the size of Magnet’s New York office to 100 employees. The agency also has offices in Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco and Pittsburgh.

Magnet’s client roster includes Thomson Corp., IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Walgreens, Cantor Fitzgerald, International Paper and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
