Euro RSCG Magnet Adds Clients, Execs From Grayling

BOSTON Havas’ Euro RSCG Magnet has struck a deal in which several key clients and top executives from Grayling USA will join the New York-based public relations agency, the shop said.

Clients moving to Euro RSCG Magnet include Heineken USA and Baron Philippe de Rothschild wines. Fees are in excess of $1 million, according to Magnet.

The executives shifting to Euro RSCG Magnet include Grayling USA CEO Roy Bumsted, who will become an executive vice president. Bumsted had been CEO of Grayling USA and its predecessor Dunwoodie Communications for 25 years. Heineken account director Marvin Mack becomes a senior vice president with Magnet. Several other Grayling staffers will also make the move, though the total number was not disclosed.

“The deal certainly adds some scale, but more importantly allowed us to recruit star talent and star brands at the same time,” said Magnet CEO Aaron Kwittken. “The talented people and the Heineken USA brand fit within our consumer practice, especially alongside our other wine and spirits brands like Absolut and Spring Mountain.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Grayling USA was part of London-based Grayling International, which is part of the U.K.-based PR holding company Huntsworth.
