Euro RCCG Advances Stover

NEW YORK Euro RSCG said it has promoted Annette Stover to chief operating officer, a position in its New York office that has been vacant for nearly two years.

Stover, 41, had been chief of staff at the Havas-owned shop since November 2004. She will report to Ron Berger, CEO and chief creative officer of the agency’s New York and San Francisco offices.

In addition to her new responsibilities of overseeing operations including IT and finance, Stover will continue to lead new business efforts for New York, which last week won the $30 million ExxonMobil account after a review. Stover played a key role in that review as well as those for Charles Schwab, Jaguar, and Sirius Satellite Radio’s Howard Stern programming.

Euro RSCG worldwide CEO David Jones said in a statement, “I am thrilled to promote Annette to this position. She is a first-class talent, a real team player and someone that everyone in the agency respects. Annette is an excellent leader and excels in building strong teams.”

A French national, Stover arrived in the U.S. in 1986 and has worked at JWT in the new business department. She also worked at consultancy Morgan Anderson and Scali McCabe Sloves on the Lotus software and Old Spice accounts. She joined Euro RSCG in 1999.

Larry Dexheimer was the COO of Euro RSCG in New York until his retirement in 2004. The agency said no one would succeed Stover as chief of staff.
