, Motorola Partner for Super Bowl

NEW YORK is offering its base of sports fans a chance to weigh in on some non-game action, enabling mobile-phone users to vote on their favorite Super Bowl commercials via their wireless phones.

Users can sign up at until game time. As the game unfolds, they have the opportunity to vote on 10 different pods, each of six or seven commercial spots.

Each vote will cost 50 cents and users can vote for as many spots as they like. As an incentive to participate, voters can enter to win 10 Motorola Razr V3 phones, which ESPN has partnered with Motorola to give away.

While ESPN was unable to provide any forecasts on response rates or user estimates, this program will be capped at 100,000 entrants. Results of the ESPN poll will be posted Monday morning on ESPN is based in Bristol, Conn.
