NEW YORK ESPN has unveiled ESPNU, a multimedia college sports initiative across the company’s family of services. ESPNU will include a new 24-hour TV network, as well as content and components for ESPN.com, ESPN The Magazine as well as the company’s radio, interactive, broadband, wireless and merchandising efforts.

ESPNU will debut in March 2005, according to George Bodenheimer, president of Bristol, Conn.-based ESPN and ABC Sports.

The company touted the launch during a party Tuesday night for a few thousand employees and friends at the ESPN Zone in New York as it celebrated its 25th anniversary.
