Ed Eskandarian, CEO and chairman of the Arnold worldwide network, has joined a group attempting to acquire the Boston Red Sox.
according to sources.
That group is led by TV producer and former San Diego Padres owner Tom Werner and Maine entrepreneur Les Otten. Werner and Otten have declined to name their partners; Eskandarian would not comment on the matter.
The Werner/Otten group is among a half-dozen bidders that have made offers in excess of $300 million to acquire a controlling stake in the baseball team.
