BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox have accepted a purchase bid of approximately $700 million from a group that includes Ed Eskandarian, CEO and chairman of the Arnold worldwide network.

That group also includes outgoing Florida Marlins owner John Henry; TV producer and former San Diego Padres owner Tom Werner; Maine entrepreneur Les Otten; Ben Cammarata, chairman of TJX Cos.; and The New York Times Co. The group also plans to rebuild and expand 90-year-old Fenway Park on its current site.
