Despite the formidable creative reputation of its Portland, Ore., headquarters, Wieden + Kennedy has had a tough time establishing a presence in New York since opening there in 1997. It is not alone. Some of the industry’s most renowned creative shops, including Fallon, Arnold, Hal Riney & Partners, Chiat/Day and The Martin Agency, have struggled to get a foothold there.
