SAN FRANCISCO Former Goodby, Silverstein & Partners associate partner John Elder has been named president of Heat, according to the agency.
Elder, 40, is also an equity partner of Heat in San Francisco, which launched seven months ago, changing its name from Black Rocket.
Heat founder Steve Stone now serves as chairman and creative director.
Both Stone and Elder are Goodby alum. Elder was on his second tour of duty at Omnicom Group’s Goodby, where as a group account director he worked on accounts such as Discover Card and eBay, as well as new business pitches.
