This businessman, actually a three-dimensional, life-size mannequin, is perched atop 13 billboards throughout Tennessee.Featuring the tagline, “You could bank from here,” the billboards tout First Tennessee’s online-banking service, which allows customers to do their banking from anywhere they can access a computer.“It’s very difficult to drive past it without noticing it,” said Brian Sullivan, group account supervisor at Thompson & Co. in Memphis, which created the billboards. “It does get the point across that you can bank from anywhere.”The billboards, part of a larger campaign for the service, will be up through January 2001.
